After a very icy week in Slidell, two of our 8th grade students, John Meguess and Marshall Thompson, participated in the District IX Jr. High Honor Band Festival. Both students who auditioned placed in the two Jr. High Ensembles, with Marshall Thompson making first chair on Tenor Saxophone. The festival was hosted at Southeastern Louisiana University. The concert was held in Pottle Hall. They had a great time learning and playing with other musicians from St. Tammany and Tangipahoa Parishes!
