REHEARSAL ETIQUETTE

  • Bring a pencil, folder and all music to each rehearsal.

  • Quiet during rehearsal when not playing

  • Demonstration of correct posture while playing

  • Respect for self and others

  • Be constructive with feedback

  • Appropriate participation during rehearsal

  • Punctuality - To be early is on time, to be on time is to be late.

After school rehearsals are scheduled in advance and are generally scheduled for weeks prior and of performances. Attendance is graded and mandatory. Excused absences may be granted on an individual basis with a written notification from a parent no later than a week before the scheduled rehearsal.

When you are performing, you are a direct representation of the reputation of the Band as a group, Ms. Berman, and Pope John Paul II. J. S. Bach once said, “I play the notes as they are written, but it is God who makes the music.” and this is a really good thing to remember. We are the instrument that God has chosen to communication through music, so we should look like it.

All performances are graded, mandatory, and scheduled well in advance.
